Spotted many kingfishers

“What a wonderful week with the houseboat in the Land van Maas en Waal.

The welcome by Burgi was fantastic and everything was explained very clearly!

We found lovely quiet spots and were able to spot many kingfishers.

One more recommendation if you enjoy birdwatching: bring binoculars!”

De Linge

We’ll be back next year!

“Last week we sailed on the Linge, and for us it was the most beautiful location so far. We had previously visited De Biesbosch and the Bommelerwaard, but we found this to be the perfect combination. Stunning nature, while still having plenty of charming villages and small towns nearby.

We truly enjoyed it! We’ll definitely be back next year. Can’t wait.”

Back home, we had to get used to the hustle again

“We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing week on the houseboat in the Biesbosch. Precisely because it wasn’t too warm, it was wonderfully peaceful and we were able to fully enjoy the beautiful nature. Back home, we had to get used to all the hustle and bustle around us again. Highly recommended for anyone who loves peace and quiet.”

Fantastic concept!

“What a fantastic concept! We spent 4 wonderful days cruising together with my sons and daughter-in-law, enjoying the beautiful nature of the Bommelerwaard. It left us wanting more!”

Special visit

“Waking up to the chatter of a pair of kingfishers, no alarm clock needed on the houseboat. And on our last evening, we were visited by beavers.”

De Linge

The Linge is actually quite long!

“We once again had wonderful weather on the Linge, visited the glass museum and the glassblowing workshop in Leerdam. The boat is cozy and everything you need is available. The outdoor shower is wonderful and can get very warm.

The Linge is beautiful and actually quite long. After 5 days, I had admired the little river from every angle and it was lovely returning to Arkel.”

Beavers swam by while we were showering!

“Wonderful midweek stay in the Bommelerwaard with our little dog! We slept in beautiful spots surrounded by nature. While showering outdoors, two beavers swam by!”

Sailing takes some getting used to, but it’s easy to do

“What a wonderful midweek stay we had on the houseboat in the Bommelerwaard with our family and 3 teenage children. Sailing takes a little getting used to, but with the good instructions and the simple controls, it is very easy to do.”
